Shouldn't I buy my reading glasses from an optician?
Not necessarily. Reading glasses will not harm your eyes, and if all you need is a little magnification, our readers will be fine for you.
As a matter of course, Clere Vision would always recommend that you have your eyes tested by a qualified optician on a regular basis.
How do I know what strength I am?
Clere Vision reading glasses come in 6 different strengths from +1.00 through to +3.50. If you don't know what strength you need, simply click on this document, Reading Card.docx, print out the guide and follow the instructions.
What is an aspheric lens?
Aspheric lenses have a slimmer profile than conventional lenses, meaning that they fit closer to your face, and reduce distortion when you look away from the centre of the lens. All Clere Vision reading glasses feature aspheric lenses.
What level of protection do your sunglasses provide?
All Clere Vision sunglasses comply with European standards and offer 100% UV protection.
All your sunglasses have a lens category specified. What does this mean?
Lens category refers to the filter on the lens. There are 5 categories as follows:
0 - Clear or very light tint
1 - Light tint
2 - Medium tint
3 - Dark tint
4 - Very dark tint
The majority of all purpose sunglasses are Category 3.
If I change my mind, how do I cancel my order?
- If you have not submitted an order, you may clear the items in your shopping basket at any time by clicking ‘Empty Basket' on the Shopping Basket screen.
- If you have submitted an order and received an acknowledgement e-mail, you may still be able to cancel by sending an e-mail marked ‘URGENT CANCELLATION' to email@example.com within 24 hours of placing your order. Please ensure you provide your name, address, product(s) ordered and order reference on the e-mail.
- If your order has been despatched, you will need to wait until you receive the product and then cancel the contract.
When should I expect my order to arrive?
The timeframe quoted for delivery when you place your order is approximate. We aim to despatch orders within 48 hours but please allow up to 14 days for delivery.
What if I want to return goods?
If you are not completely satisfied with an item, we will exchange it or give you a refund, provided that it is returned to us in its original condition, complete with all labels and packaging, up to 14 days after despatch. Proof of purchase will also be required. Four days should be allowed for postage so please make sure your item is posted within ten days of receipt. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage from the post office, and retain this until you receive your refund or replacement.
Please note we can only accept items which were purchased from clerevisiondirect.co.uk and, unless goods are faulty, you will be required to pay return postage.

Where an item is to be exchanged, the replacement item will be despatched within five days of receipt of the original goods by us.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are harmless pieces of information stored on your computer. They may contain information such as the username you use when visiting a particular site, or keep track of the number of times you have visited a site. Cookies can only be read by you, or the web site that created the cookie in the first place.
Cookies are not a security risk. A website owner will be able to 'tag' your browser when you enter their site and find out how often you visit and, perhaps, what pages you like to look at, but they cannot access any information about you, except what you knowingly give them by filling in forms. What's more, cookies can generally only be accessed by the web server that set them. So, you still have control over what information you give out, and to whom.
